Frank W. Foskett came from Orange MA in the 1880's to Nortonville, CA. He later owned the Concord Meat Market with partner Herbert Elworthy. In 1911, they started a bank called First National Bank of Concord and built the "old bank" building at the corner of Salvio and Galindo streets in Concord.

Foskett and Elworthy's start at banking
After years of ranching and the meat markets in Concord, Pittsburgh, and Walnut Creek, Foskett and partner Herbert Elworthy sold a bunch of their land in about 1911 and started a bank.
